Well I figured that I will talk about Audiosurf like I said last night or something like that.
To start off, Audiosurf is an indie game created by Dylan Fitterer (who is praised highly as he should be *kneels over*). It is what you would call a crazy fusion of a racing, puzzle and arcade game.
The objective is to use the ship/car that you select and collect 3 or more matches of that colour in the 3 lanes provided.
There is exception to some ship/car and difficulties. For example, playing the Mono ships/cars will only require you to collect the coloured blocks while evading grey blocks and Double Vision has 2 ships/cars with 2 lanes each. Depending on the difficulty will add lanes either side called shoulders which are free moving lanes.
Enough of that, you would be able to gather by the title that this involves audio in some manner, music you would assume? You would be correct to think so. This is a music based game, and easily it falls down into the best music based game ever in my books.
It has me hooked, after several months the game has come out and I am still playing it at least a few hours a week.
Graphically, the game is very appealing. The game is full of life and colour and its such a splendor to watch. The graphics look crisp for its simplicity as well. The designs of the ships/cars look great too.
The controls I might add are great as well, one of the more important aspects of a game is to be able to have control of what you are doing. You can either use the mouse or the keyboard for this game.
Me preferring the mouse, all I require is a little bump in the sensitivity which is easily accessed, even during game and the ship/car will move how I want it, how fast I wanted it and precisely where I want it. The action buttons used to activate certain abilities and power ups for the ships/cars work with extreme precision as well.
I cannot really comment on the audio, it will vary greatly depending on what you listen to, but the fact alone that you can listen to any song that you want as long as it follows the accepted file constraints is already a huge plus.
The game will somehow synchronize the track accordingly to the song and generate the traffic (the blocks to collect) according to the beats of the song or how ever it works.
If just playing the music isn't enough, you can take this game competitively and shoot for the global high score tables for the song that you are doing. The score tables are laid out accordingly from difficulties just so that you won't get stomped on someone using the Elite ships when you are using Casual
One thing that I thought was a good touch is that Audiosurf not only tries to target its audience to the hardcore gamers but it also aims towards the casual gamers. It will be able to give those casual gamers an opportunity to go through their favourite songs and play a nice and simple game during this time.
Having that said, you can otherwise go for the higher difficulty ships/cars and go for a hugely complicated looking track with a huge amount of traffic in the way.
So to sum it up because I am guessing you are getting sick of reading this, Audiosurf is a fantastic game, having the ability to play any song you want and to turn it into an interactive game and to be able to control the difficulty of the game yourself is a huge

to me. Like I said before, it is easily the best music based game that I have ever played.
In comparison to say, Guitar Hero 3 which is widely popular, it:
Is far cheaper
Is much more appealing to look at
Does not get ridiculously hard unexpectedly
Has customizable soundtrack (or to say, you can use any song you want)
Has various characters changing the gameplay methods
Does not require some kooky looking plastic guitar controller (though, it is awesome fun to use it though)
My recommendation: I say buy it, it gets my 5ers. Even if not, it is only 10 bucks, what do you have to lose? A cheap take out meal?

Since I am getting a sketch from

, I have to give out 10 free sketches. It's one of those things where someone does a sketch, you get a sketch from them and then you pass out sketches to others and then they have to do it and vice versa.
I really know I shouldn't be doing these with the art trades and requests still on but this should be able to be good practice hopefully.
Oh yeah, since I lack a tablet and I don't want to have to use the scanner, all the sketches will be done in Paint. If you have seen my recent Paint works, then you will know what to expect really.
Right, lets get this started already
